Paul Cowderoy

Paul grew up on a large sugar cane farm in Northern New South Wales that was worked by his father and grandfather for many years. He was always listening to country music from a young age which had a profound effect on his life.

His First single After Tonight reached number 2 on the Kix Country Top 20 and on the Hot Country Top 50. Paul’s second single ‘Emerald Eyes’ gave him his first number 1 on the 98.9FM All Australian Top 20 Chart early in 2012.

2012 marked Paul’s entry into the National Top 30 Chart with ‘Need to Need You making its way to #8. He was also recently named among the Top 5 Capital News “Best New Artists” for 2012 in their December issue magazine.

2013 has started with a bang for Paul. With 4 nominations in the Australian Country Music People’s Choice Awards, He walked away from Tamworth as the winner of the ‘Best Male Vocal’ award. Paul has also just been announced as a finalist in the ISC – International Songwriting Competition, Joining Troy Casser Daley, Jetty Road and Catherine Britt representing Australia on the national stage.

In 2012 Paul performed at the Tamworth Country Music Festival, Urban Country Music festival, various charity concerts, Canberra Country Music Festival and various locations around South East Queensland. He just performed at the Katoomba Jam for Genes charity concert and played 10 shows this year in Tamworth. Already for 2013 he is confirmed for the Whittlesea Country Music Festival and the Urban Country Music Festival in Caboolture. Along with gigs at the Zoo in Brisbane and various other local venues.
